Heart-warming。 Mind-stimulating。 Tear-jerking。 Awe-inspiring。 The list goes on。。。This is hands down the best book I have ever read! At certain points in the book, the anointing of God was so strong and it felt like a personal time of decision with Him。But the coolest thing about GenerationS is that it's more than a book。 It is the documentation of what is happening IRL in Heart of God Church。 I first came to HOGC almost 9 years ago as a shy 14-year-old with no abilities and a lot of anxiety。 But my pastors and leaders poured so much belief, love and discipleship into me。 They gave me opportunities to lead a connect group and head one of the social media departments。 The stories in the book are just some of thousands of young people who have found their destinies in God。 This book is a MUST READ。 。。。more

Part leadership lessons, part personal journey and part context of the church today – this is an amazing all-round book for any pastoral leader (or one to be) in their church!! I've never seen a church as passionate to build, grow and believe in young people 。。。 but HOGC and their Senior Pastors say it's possible。 Not just for them, but for ALL of us! 1。 The book is co-authored by Pastor How and Pastor Lia (pioneers of Heart of God Church, Singapore)。 Through the book, you will see both their perspectives – you can hear their belief in youth and generations through the pages。 2。 This book is not for profit。 All royalties and proceeds from the book go toward the movement that sows back into the lives of young people。 👍🏽👍🏽3。 The end of each chapter is marked by contributions and 'Inside Stories' including those from Lisa Bevere, Bishop Dale Bro 1。 The book is co-authored by Pastor How and Pastor Lia (pioneers of Heart of God Church, Singapore)。 Through the book, you will see both their perspectives – you can hear their belief in youth and generations through the pages。 2。 This book is not for profit。 All royalties and proceeds from the book go toward the movement that sows back into the lives of young people。 👍🏽👍🏽3。 The end of each chapter is marked by contributions and 'Inside Stories' including those from Lisa Bevere, Bishop Dale Bronner, Matt Redman, Dr Robi Sonderegger and John Bevere。 I don't think I've seen another book giving so much real estate to contributors。 But I'm not complaining, it's a novel and refreshing idea to have these thought-leaders weigh in on the subject matter。 4。 The book is easy to read, and there's a digital companion that supplements the reading experience。 But don't mistake it for a light read。 The bite-sized principles are extremely weighty, you might find yourself rethinking how you do church and ministry。 5。 The stories。 I love the stories of young people。 By the end of the book, I found myself rooting for all the young world-changers。 From the homegrown pastors to the homeless youth, I'm cheering everyone in Heart of God Church on!!! 6。 GenerationS Vol 1 ends with a crazy cliffhanger。 I heard Vol 2 is already on the way, and I can't wait。 In the meantime, I will do a second reading of Vol 1 to make sure I missed nothing out。7。 Ending thoughts: I find that many Christian books paint a rosy picture of God's goodness, but rarely do I find a read like Pastor How and Pastor Lia's where it's kept it raw and real。 While many speakers focus on their tours and exploits around the globe, the authors share transparently about their detours in pastoral work and ministry。。。 I can appreciate the refreshing candour。 Yet, despite the uphill challenges, the authors' unwavering faith in God and commitment to Generations kept them going on。 🙌🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 。。。more

When I first picked this book up, there was a weight in my heart。 No, not the kind of weight that sinks our hearts when we pick up yet another school reading。。。 but there was a sense of enormity and gravity as I held this book in my hands。 In my hands was the legacy and history of a 20-year project。。。 I could not wait to start。 And as I flipped the pages, my heart stirred with every sentence and every punchline。 Page after page, I was brought on a journey through the highs and lows of Heart of G When I first picked this book up, there was a weight in my heart。 No, not the kind of weight that sinks our hearts when we pick up yet another school reading。。。 but there was a sense of enormity and gravity as I held this book in my hands。 In my hands was the legacy and history of a 20-year project。。。 I could not wait to start。 And as I flipped the pages, my heart stirred with every sentence and every punchline。 Page after page, I was brought on a journey through the highs and lows of Heart of God Church。 Here, a history lesson。 There, a heartfelt testimony。 Bam, a timeless biblical truth。 Every page was vividly written, thoughtfully structured and movingly engaging。 I was hooked。 "Page-turner" might be an overused word on this platform。 But in my opinion, no book fits this description better。I'm sincerely blown away by how Pastor How and Pastor Lia spent their lives building their church。 It is evident that the principles shared here are borne out of decades of experience。 They are not just catchy slogans or headline-grabbing pointers。 Every principle is well thought out, every teaching is backed by stories of real-life examples。When we visit Heart of God church, many will see the screens, the lights, and hear the world-class sermons。。。 But it is the changed lives and the stories you read in this book that are the essence of this church。 These are the stories that make HOGC such a unique place。 The stories are proof that young people CAN have a purpose in God。 One that is beyond the lures of social media and pressures of society。 I loved what both pastors wrote, that HOGC is "a divine experiment, heaven's pilot project, and earth's guinea pig"。 This book is evidence that this experiment has borne results, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in sowing into young people, growing churches, and building organisations。 Pick this book up if you're willing to pay the price to build GenerationS。 。。。more

What a unique book! I've been a christian for 12 years now and am currently leading 2 Connect Groups of 30。 I've read many christian books (ah I'm horrible, I don't finish all of them) but I must say this is such a unique piece。 (Yes, I finished this 👍🏻) Even the starting page is so different。 I love the handwritten message for the readers (: It makes it feel like the authors really want to speak to us。I don't think I've ever read a book with QR code in its content。 I love how it leads to videos What a unique book!
